James Taylor has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, JUJU, went through last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on animal abuse cases 2022 Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
